ASH Membership Information

Membership in the ASH is open to all those who have undertaken and accomplished meritorious original scientific investigation in the field of hypertension and/ or related cardiovascular disease. It is also open to those involved in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension and related cardiovascular disease, as well as those with a demonstrated serious interest in the field.

Regular Members:

The following individuals may join the Society as Regular Members:

  • Physicians, PhDs, or equivalents, PharmDs who have undertaken scientific investigation in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases
  • Physicians, PhDs, or equivalents, PharmDs who are involved in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases
  • Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who treat hypertension patients or have a scientific interest in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases

Regular Members may participate in scientific activities of the Society, receive all official mailings, enjoy voting privileges, and shall be eligible for elected and appointed positions within the Society.

The annual dues for Regular Members are $250.00.

Associate Members :

Registered Nurses and others who treat hypertension patients or have a scientific interest in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases join the Society as Associate Members.

Associate members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, including the right to vote, but are not eligible for elected Office within the Society.

The annual dues for U.S. Associate Members are $125.00.

Members-In-Training:

Residents, Fellows and Graduate Students - anywhere in the world - currently training in studies related to hypertension or related cardiovascular diseases.

Members-In-Training enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, with the exception of the right to vote and are not eligible for elected Office within the Society.

The annual dues for Members-In-Training are $75.00.

Individual Corporate Members:

Corporations may become Corporate Members of the Society. Individuals within a corporation who do not fall into other categories above may join the Society as individual Corporate Members.

Individual Corporate members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, with the exception of the right to vote and are not eligible for elected Office within the Society.

The annual dues for Individual Corporate Members are $100.00.

Lay Members:

Individuals who have an interest in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases.

Lay Members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, with the exception of the right to vote and are not eligible for elected Office within the Society.

The annual dues for Lay Members are $35.00.

Emeritus Members:

Individuals who have been Members of the Society for at least five (5) consecutive years and have retired from practice may apply for emeritus status.

Emeritus Members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, with the exception of the right to vote, and are not eligible for elected Office within the Society.
