The Fourth Qualifying Hypertension Specialist Examination
In 1999 the ASH Specialist Program Inc. established
the Specialist in Clinical Hypertension Designation for the purpose
of identifying and recognizing physicians with expert skills and
knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension and related
disorders. Specialists in Clinical Hypertension are designated
on the basis of:
Submission of an application documenting training and experience
in hypertension and related areas
Passing
the qualifying examination
The Fourth Qualifying Hypertension Specialist
Examination was
administered on May 19, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois prior to the
commencement of the 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the American
Society of Hypertension (ASH), as well as at other sites throughout
the nation.
The Fifth Qualifying Hypertension Specialist Examination is tentatively
scheduled for May of 2009.
