ASH Scientific Awards Overview

In keeping with the Society's mission to, "encourage the development, advancement, and exchange of scientific information in all aspects of research, diagnosis, and treatment of hypertension", the Society recognizes advances in the field by honoring those at the forefront of hypertension research. The Society currently honors researchers with two Awards: the ASH Distinguished Scientist Award, and the ASH Young Scholars Award.

	ASH Distinguished Scientist Award Recognizes and honors an individual for outstanding achievements in the field of hypertension.
	ASH Marvin Moser Clinical Hypertension Award Recognizes a qualified Hypertension Clinician for his or her dedication to the treatment and care of hypertensive patients.
	Young Scholar Awards Given to an emerging leader in hypertension research or related cardiovascular disease.
	ASH Young Investigator Travel Award Given to the highest scoring abstract presenters who qualify to assist them in attending the Annual Scientific Meeting.
	Young Investigator-in-Training Abstract Competition This new competition is to encourage new investigators to undertake or continue hypertension research, participate in the ASH Annual Scientific Meeting, and engage in discussion with senior investigators.
