NEW ASH HYPERTENSION CERTIFICATION FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
The American Society of Hypertension, Inc. (ASH) and the ASH Specialist
Program Inc. (ASP) are excited to announce the launch of a new advanced
certification pathway open to clinicians at the front-lines of diagnosing
and treating hypertension. This new certification, called the
ASH Certified Hypertension Clinician (ASH-CHC), will be conferred on Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists,
PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians with expert
skills and knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension.
The ASH Specialist Program is an independent certifying organization offering
the highest standards of professional competency in hypertension. The
ASH-CHC program was created specifically for Nurse Practitioners, Clinical
Nurse Specialists, PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians,
to recognize their mastery of a defined body of knowledge in hypertension
given their scope of practice. This certification will, in turn, provide
recognition of the expertise of these healthcare clinicians in hypertension,
and demonstrate their commitment to the highest standards of hypertension
Nurse Practitioners, PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians
NOW have the opportunity to be certified as an ASH Certified ASH Hypertension
Clinician by successfully passing the ASH-CHC examination.
The next ASH-CHC Examination Period will from be February 25 - March 11,
2017, with a January 31, 2017 application deadline.
