NEW ASH HYPERTENSION CERTIFICATION FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

The American Society of Hypertension, Inc. (ASH) and the ASH Specialist Program Inc. (ASP) are excited to announce the launch of a new advanced certification pathway open to clinicians at the front-lines of diagnosing and treating hypertension. This new certification, called the ASH Certified Hypertension Clinician (ASH-CHC), will be conferred on Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians with expert skills and knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension.

The ASH Specialist Program is an independent certifying organization offering the highest standards of professional competency in hypertension. The ASH-CHC program was created specifically for Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians, to recognize their mastery of a defined body of knowledge in hypertension given their scope of practice. This certification will, in turn, provide recognition of the expertise of these healthcare clinicians in hypertension, and demonstrate their commitment to the highest standards of hypertension patient care.

Nurse Practitioners, PharmDs, Physician Assistants and Primary Care Physicians NOW have the opportunity to be certified as an ASH Certified ASH Hypertension Clinician by successfully passing the ASH-CHC examination.

The next ASH-CHC Examination Period will from be February 25 - March 11, 2017, with a January 31, 2017 application deadline.

The online application portal is now open at the following link:http://www.ptcny.com/clients/ASH/
